The Royal Society of Open Science had done a study about how broiler chickens, due to their massive population caused by human consumption habits, are a key indicator species for the Anthropocene Epoch. This basically means that the massive chicken population grown to support human consumption habits is causing a strain on ecosystems around the world, and we need to find more effective ways to feed ourselves.
